Good Report on the Babies!

The babies went to the doctor on Monday for their 1 mo. weight check, check-up, and Hep B shots. Cameron is 6 1/2 lbs., Parker is 5 lbs. 15 oz., and Katelyn is still our little peanut at 5 lbs. 13 oz. Cameron's blocked tear duct is now healed, but mommy is thinking he may possibly have reflux. Lots of crying, fussiness, arching the back, stiffening the legs, and of course, projectile spit-up. Dr. Cook prescribed Zantac to see if it helps. Haven't noticed an improvement yet. All the babies got a good report, and the doctor is pleased with all of their growth. Parker is definitely our most laid back baby and hardly ever complains or cries. Katelyn is moderately fussy and seems to be hungry a lot, and poor Cameron is just not happy much these days. Hopefully we can get him some relief, whatever it is! I haven't figured out how to label pictures yet....1st one--Pop with Cameron, 2nd & 3rd--Parker in swing, 4th Katelyn's first time in the bouncy, 5th--Katelyn on left and Parker in the swing!

Born in 2009!

Our sweet cousin, Katie Seelye, bought these precious "Born in 2009" onesies while in chef school in New York. We finally got a picture of the babies in them and with big sis' Savannah. So far, everyone seems to be well at this point, but we are still mostly house-bound and limiting Savannah's diet and drink intake just in case. In all the pictures, Cameron is on the left and Parker is on the right. The two with their noses together sleeping are Parker, naked, and Katelyn in the red. So cute!

Happy Easter Everyone!!!!

We still can't take family pictures because I am trying to get over 3 days of the stomach bug and Savannah is still sick throwing up with diarrhea. Poor Savannah hardly enjoyed her basket from the Easter Bunny today!!! I at least put an Easter basket next to the babies in their bed and got a picture of them all awake! Cameron-left, Parker-middle, Katelyn-right. Also enjoy a picture of Pop feeding Katelyn-left, parker-right at the same time using bottle props and the Boppy preemie lounger. It's a little messy but works in a pinch!

Pray for Us!

Savannah has been sick off and on the past 2 weeks with diarrhea and throwing up. Today so far has been the worst of it---she's pitiful! She has a low grade fever, diarrhea, and throwing up with crying, laying around, and sleeping all day! It breaks my heart! Shawn had it last weekend, and I have had it today. My parents have taken care of the babies all day so I could tend to Savannah. We are hoping we can keep this away from all caregivers and the babies. If the babies get it, they would most likely be hospitalized, and it could be devestating to their fragile little bodies. We have missed lots of Easter activities, a birthday party, will miss church on Easter Sunday, MDO, etc. We have to get better around here! Please pray for wellness for all and that the babies don't get this. The doctor's office said this viral stomach bug was rampant in Allen, McKinney, and Blue Ridge with no medication to help it. It is highly contagious and can last from 5-7 days and up to 2 weeks! Ugh!

Boys are Growing Like Weeds!

Parker went for his first visit to Dr. Cook this morning and passed with flying colors. He came home last Thurs. 4 lbs. 3 oz. and weighed 4 lbs. 11 oz. today. He's taking in 70cc per feeding or more and doing great! He is a little congested, so the doctor has advised us to put in Little Noses saline drops 3-4 times per day and then use the bulb syringe. His circumcision is also healing perfectly! Cameron went back also this morning for a weight check and was up from 4 lbs. 13 oz. to 5 lbs. 13 oz. Wow! He is also congested, so we're doing the same thing for him and also continuing to massage his left eye with a warm rag and added eye drops today for 4-5 days for his blocked tear duct. He will be circumcised by Dr. Strand, Pediatric Urologist, in May--long story! All 3 babies will go back in 2 weeks for the first Hep B shot an 1 mo. check-ups. It is still crazy around here, and I'm still so thankful for my help. My parents have taken over the night feedings the past 2 nights, so I've actually gotten some sleep! It's been wonderful! We will try to get some family pictures taken soon!

Parker is Home!

Parker came home with us about 6:00 p.m. this evening after a very long and frustrating NICU checkout process--ugh! We finally got everything straightened out, and our boy is home. We are so glad. I will enjoy not having to go to the hospital daily any more which ate up so much of my time, even though I was happy to feed and hold Parker. It is definitely different feeding 3 babies instead of 1 or 2, but we'll get the hang of it soon. Thank goodness we have help. Parker is 4 lbs. 4 oz. and will see Dr. Cook for the first time on Wed. He's on a special formula, Enfamil EnfaCare, for 1-2 months, so mixing up bottles and different formulas is pretty tricky...requires a lot of math. Savannah seemed surprised to see another baby arrive at the house tonight but was so glad to hold Parker and kiss him. She has really been testing the waters lately, and I think the terrible 2's has finally caught up with her combined with the many changes around here. She's wearing us out, but this too shall pass! Enjoy a few pictures. The picture of all 3 babies has Katelyn on the left, Cameron in the middle, and Parker on the right.
