Baby Update--32 Weeks!

I just got back from being wheeled down to Dr. Albert's office, and I am so relieved. All 3 babies look good, amniotic fluid is good, placenta's, cords, and heartbeats are good, and most importantly, there was no evidence of contractions and my cervix has stabilized at 2.2mm. He is hoping I can go 3-4 more weeks. Everything right now is as good as it can be. Thank you for your prayers and please keep praying for the health, growth, and safety of the babies. I will see him again next Monday and he will measure the babies' growth then. My hospital stay is going okay....lots of visitors and not too bored yet. It was great to get out of my room for a few minutes today. I also got an egg crate mat on my bed which will hopefully help me to sleep better and help my back, and I just got approved for a warming pad with distilled water in it to also help my lower back as my belly continues to get bigger. My legs and ankles are now beginning to swell, but they are not quite at the "kankle" stage yet! Enjoy a picture of Cameron. If you look closely, you can pick out his eyes, nose, and pouty, puckered lips...so cute!

31 Weeks, 3 Days!

Enjoy a new picture of my fast-growing belly! Dr. Herzog just came in to visit me and is pleased with me and the babies. The monitoring of the babies is going so well that he has changed it to two instead of three monitors per day. I am going to see Dr. Albert, Perinatologist, next week....probably some time on Monday for another sono and cervix check. If my cervix has stabilized and everything looks good and the babies continue to grow and look good and stay put, then he said he will let me complete 34 weeks and then he will take them. That timeline puts us at the week of Allen ISD's Spring Break which is the week of March 16th. That means 3 1/2 more weeks in the hospital. I can do it!!!!!!! Thank you for your prayers and please continue to pray for the health, growth, and safety of these precious babies! Thank you also for your many visits, phone calls, emails, etc. I appreciate the support so much!

In Case You Haven't Heard.....

Feb. 16, 2009 is officially the day that mommy was admitted to the hospital for the rest of her pregnancy! I went in for my regular perinatologist visit only to discover that my cervix had shortened from 3.1 to 2.2 since last Wed. Yikes! The good news is that the babies look good, have strong heartbeats, and are growing on track. Cameron is still the biggest at 3 lbs. 10 oz., Parker is our little peanut at 3 lbs. and Katelyn weighs in at 3 lbs. 9 oz. I also had pretty strong contractions last night before dinner and during the night which woke me up several times. Dr. Herzog just wants me monitored closely and on continued bedrest. I do have peace of mind now knowing that should my water break or contractions get more numerous or intense, I'm in the right place! My sweet husband just came up to visit me and bring me some things I need and Savannah is staying with my parents in Plano tonight. Please continue praying for the health, growth, and safety of the babies, for me, and for sweet Savannah as she has been subjected to so many changes recently. Come visit if you can and enjoy a quick picture my dad snapped of me at 31 weeks before I left for the hospital.

Bumble Bee's Galore!

My friend and super seamstress, Tena Worthy, came by this afternoon with a special delivery! She brought the 3 cribskirts, diaper champ cover, and bumble bee quilt for the babies room. It is all perfect and just what I wanted. I can't wait to get it all assembled and in the room. Tena also brought tons of small gifts for Savannah so that she would have things to open since the babies get so much stuff.....so thoughtful! She also brought her precious son, Eli, who will be 2 in May. He was so much fun and gave us a taste of what having boys will be like in our house. Thanks Tena! Enjoy some pictures!

Happy Valentine's Day!

I am so thankful and blessed. Shawn came home with 2 boxes of chocolates, a card, beautiful flowers, and my new van for Valentine's Day this morning. What more could a girl want....Shawn has a new job, I have a new van, a beautiful daughter, and 3 precious babies on the way! God is so good, and I am thankful for his blessings, mercy, and provisions. He is faithful! I am completing my 5th week on bedrest at home and will be starting my 31st week of pregnancy. Hard to believe these sweet babies will be here soon. I go back to the doctor on Monday for another cervix and baby check, and I will post again then. I hope everyone enjoys a great weekend and Valentine's Day. Love to you all!

Another Baby Update!

Went to Dr. Herzog today for a cervix and baby check. Here's the scoop......iron is a little lower at 10.4, babies are all still good with strong heartbeats, cervix remains unchanged, and the best news of all....no longer have to monitor my blood sugar! I don't have gestational diabetes after all! So glad I can continue bedrest at home and that the babies are all doing well. I will go to Dr. Albert on Monday for another level II sono and weighing of the babies. Hopefully they are all still growing on track.

It's Official....I'm a Minivan Mom!!!!!

Well, it's finally a done deal as of a few minutes ago. We just purchased a 2006 Toyota Sienna XLE from Toyota of Richardson. It is a certified preowned with lots of bells and whistles on it....gray leather interior, DVD player, heated seats, power sunroof, and all power doors including the back. The exterior is light silver just like my Altima was, and I love it. Shawn brought it home last night for me to ride around the neighborhood and look at it, and he took it back this morning to complete the paperwork. They will keep it next week to fix the rock chips, detail and clean the inside, and tint the front windows as part of our deal, so maybe we will have it home next weekend. We are so thankful that the Lord provided just what we needed for our growing family at just the right time and price. Praise the Lord! Savannah got to ride in it to Plano in her brand new carseat! Enjoy a few pictures!

Another Baby Update!

Went back to Dr. Herzog today, and my cervix measured 3.1--not much different from Monday. So, that's good news.....at least it didn't shorten. My iron is still low, but the babies all look good and had strong heartbeats. The doctor is very pleased with my low blood sugar numbers. I get to only check it 2 times per day instead of 4, and if my numbers continue to be low for the next week, I can discontinue altogether. Yahoo! I don't think I have gestational diabetes after all! I will go back to the doctor next Wed. for another check. Please continue praying for continued health and growth for the babies and that they will not arrive early as long as is is healthy for them and for me.

Baby Update!

Went to the Perinatologist today and got mostly a good report. Cervix has shortened to 2.8, so I'm even on more strict bedrest, if that's possible, to get up only to eat, shower, and restroom. They start getting more concerned when it gets to 2.5 and would then be considered in the low range. Babies have grown a little bit since last time with Cameron being the biggest at 2 lbs. 12 oz., Parker is 2 lbs. 8 oz., and Katelyn is 2 lbs. 11 oz. Cameron and Katelyn are in the 50%tile range, and Parker is in the 25%tile range. The doctor said for triplets that anything in the 25th-50th%tile range is considered "normal" or "average". So, I'm happy the babies are still in my belly and are growing on track, but I'm concerned about an early arrival or possible hospitalization. Please continue praying for the health and growth of the babies and that my cervix will hold on a bit longer. I am at peace knowing that God is in control, and He is doing what's best for the babies!
