Maddox's Birthday Party!

Enjoy a few goofy pictures of Savannah at her cousin, Maddox's, 5th birthday party today. She enjoyed jumping in the bounce house and having freedom to run around. Happy 5th Birthday, Maddox!

Also, just wanted to share with everyone that we were asked by our church to give our testimony this past Sunday and all went well, and I didn't die of fear! We had a Thanksgiving service so they asked us to talk about what we were thankful for...of course, it gave me a chance to share our story of infertility and triplets! Thanks to Gram for coming to give moral support!

No Bedrest Yet!

I went back to the doctor today and received great news! The babies were all doing fine, very active with strong heartbeats, my cervix had actually elongated a little bit and had not gotten shorter, and my iron was up a bit, but still low. So, no bedrest for at least 2 more weeks! I didn't receive new pictures today. I will go back to the doctor on Dec. 10 for another checkup and sono. I am going back to the perinatologist, Dr. Albert, next Fri., Dec. 5th for him to do another level II sono to measure the growth of the babies to make sure they are still growing on track. We wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving and keep those prayers coming!

Bye-Bye Eye Stint!

Today Savannah went back to the Pediatric Opthamologist in Plano and had her eye stint taken out that was surgically placed in her left eye 5 months ago. Mommy couldn't look! They basically put her in a velcro straight jacket so she couldn't move, and the nurse held her while the doctor worked. I stood down at the end and held her feet. It was just plain awful! She cried and said "Mama in her sad voice" and I reassurred her that I was there. He said her left eye, the one with the stint, looked great and clear. However, we've still had a lot of trouble with both eyes watering and running like faucets some days. The ENT doctor and eye doctor conferred that it is a mechanical tear duct problem and not allergies. The eye doctor today basically roto-rootered her right eye and said it was very narrow and blocked. He said this little procedure today had a 50/50 chance of working. If not, we will have to do a stint in her right eye later as well. Ugh! After a bloody nose and eye, Savannah seems just fine.

Good News...Bad News!

I had my bi-weekly appointment with Dr. Herzog today. The good news is that all 3 babies are great with strong heartbeats, and lots of movement. Baby A, aka Cameron, kicked my cervix while we watched and was very active. He is feet first, Parker is head down, and Katelyn is diagonal with feet first. I was very relieved that all 3 are still doing so well. The bad news is that my iron is very low even with taking 2 pills per day, so they are increasing it to 3 a day. The babies are just sucking the life right out of me! The other bad news is my cervix is changing and shortening quite rapidly. This translates into potential bedrest and maybe soon. I go back to the doctor on Tues., Nov. 25th, and Dr. Herzog will make the decision then to put me on bedrest for the rest of my pregnancy or not. Please continue to pray for the health and growth of the babies and also for my cervix to remain unchanged so that I can continue to resume normal activities with my family.

It's Official.....Baby Names!

We've decided on the names of our babies. Who knew we would have to choose 3 at one time! Nonetheless, it's been exciting! Now I won't have to call them Baby A, Baby B, and Baby C any more. Baby A is Cameron Austin, Baby B is Parker Ryan, and Baby C is Katelyn Michelle. Hope everyone likes them! If not, don't tell us!!!!!!!

Battle of the Sexes...Bumble Bee's it is!

Well, it's 100% official. Babies A & B are boys and Baby C is a girl!!! The nursery will be done in bumble bee's. We are so thrilled with the news of having 2 boys and 2 girls in our growing family of 6. The Lord is truly blessing us. Praise the Lord that all 3 babies looked perfect and were measuring 16 weeks, which is what I am, and totally on track growth wise. Babies A & C are 6 ounces and Baby B is 4 ounces. The perinatologist concurred with the sono tech from Dr. Herzog's office that it is very likely that the boys are identical. We won't know for sure until they are born with their appearance and confirmed with blood tests. I guess we may need that Sharpie marker after all!!!! The doctor checked the brain hemispheres, heart chambers, kidneys, lungs, bones, limbs, etc. on all 3 babies. It was just plain awesome to see what the Lord has created inside of me--total miracles! Yesterday and today, I have felt "fluttering" on my left side and thought it might be the babies. I'm pretty sure now that it is because the boys are on my left and our girl is on the right side. Those boys are active and kicking me already! I will go back to Dr. Herzog next Thurs. for another visit and sono. Also, my cervix looked great. That is really important, because the minute it changes, it's possible bedrest or hospitalization for me! Names are still undecided, but we should know soon and will let everyone know. Shawn and I are rejoicing in God's goodness and mercy with this great news. Please continue to pray for my health as well as the health and growth of the babies.
